The last day before Christmas shutdown was Wednesday December 23.

Christmas Hamper Donations

Donations have been coming in quickly after Options, Pathways and Transitions Inc. announced it was collecting for Christmas Hampers again this year.  OPT is sponsoring 5 individual hampers as well as the family that OPT sponsored last year.

The hampers will be delivered on December 18.

Movement Group

Options, Pathways and Transitions Inc. provides opportunities for physical activity. Movement Group is a way for participants to get benefits of exercise while enjoying dance.

A qualified instructor leads the group in learning ways to use movement and dance to promote physical activity.

Halloween Party

Ready For Camp Arnes

Options, Pathways and Transitions Inc. is set to leave for Camp Arnes Wednesday October 14. Day program participants look forward to many activities. Such as horseback riding, flying squirrel, beach walks and campfires.  Here is a video from last year's trip: Kiara on the flying squirrel.

New Van

Options, Pathways and Transitions Inc. now has 7 vehicles in its fleet. Meet Henry, a brand new Honda Odyssey to provide transportation for OPT day program participants.

 

OPT now has 6 vans and 1 passenger car as OPT is expected to have more participants join the program soon.

New Location Open

OPT now has 2 locations. Options, Pathways and Transitions Inc. opened its new location on Monday September 14, 2015. The building, at 177 Eugenie St., enables OPT to provide service to more day program participants.

Wrapping up Summer Program

Options, Pathways and Transitions Inc. is ready to get back to regular programming after a successful Summer Program. Summer activities finished Friday September 4 with a movie day at Options' Marion location. The final week of Summer activities also saw visits to the Golf Dome and Manitoba Museum.

 

 

 

OPT's Travel Club also went to Churchill, MB in August.

Back from Churchill

The Travel Club group from Options, Pathways and Transitions Inc. returned from the trip to Churchill on Friday Aug 21.  Participants enjoyed visiting Fort Prince of Wales, the tundra and local museums. On the Whale watching tour, the whales got very close to the boat.

Off to Churchill

Options, Pathways and Transitions Inc. Executive Director Kelly Bennett gave a final pep talk to OPT Travel Club members to prepare for the trip to Churchill, MB.  The group left early Monday morning, taking a bus to Thompson, MB where they will get on the train to Churchill.

 

 

The Travel Club group flies home direct from Churchill on Friday August 21.

Back at Work

Options, Pathways and Transitions Inc. wasted no time returning to activities after the summer shutdown. Day program participants quickly got back to work doing numeracy, literacy and music programming. Regular weekly activities like bowling and swimming also resumed.

Summer Shutdown 2015

Options, Pathways and Transitions Inc. spent the last day before summer shutdown doing various jobs. Some day program participants helped with final cleanup and recycling  while others enjoyed last day activities.

 

 

 

Some members did work on the new OPT building at 177 Eugenie St.

Human Rights Museum

On Friday July 10, Options, Pathways and Transitions Inc. visited the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. Participants spent the day touring the many exhibits and galleries.

 

 

 

Some OPT members chose to go to the top of the Tower of Hope to enjoy the view of the city.

OPT's New Location Renovations

Options, Pathways and Transitions Inc. has a new location opening in September of 2015. The building is currently under renovation.

 

 

 

 

 

The new facility, at 177 Eugenie St., allows OPT to provide day program services to more participants.

Options, Pathways and Transitions Inc.'s 2015 Summer Program started June 19 with a day trip to Winnipeg Beach. Day Program participants enjoyed a country walk and barbeque. Some even went for a swim.

Bud Spud Raises over $4,000!

Options, Pathways and Transitions Inc. would like to thank everyone who attended and contributed to the Bud Spud and Steak fundraiser held June 12. The event was in support of OPT Travel Club's upcoming trip to Churchill, MB. The effort raised $4,200.
