A number of participants at Options, Pathways & Transitions Inc. gain work experience by volunteering at Riverside Lions Seniors Residences.  On June 12, 2013,  Riverside Lions said thank you with a volunteer appreciation tea and dance.

Communications skills through Broadcasting

Options, Pathways and Transitions Inc. believes in helping participants develop strong communication skills. One road to that goal is OPT's Broadcasting group. In this group, participants help set up the OPT broadcast studio with professional microphones, recording/editing computer software and speaker monitors. The group records conversations for playback to keep track of each others progress.

 

 

 

 

The OPT broadcast groups plan to begin podcasting on the multi-media page of our main website.

Preparation pays off for OPT participants at CV Idol Finale

Options, Pathways and Transitions Inc. is proud of all participants taking part in CV Idol's Grand Finale May 24, 2013. OPT's full membership attended the event to cheer on their coworkers.

 

OPT participants worked very hard practising their songs for CV Idol auditions with seven members making it to the finale.

 

 

 

Congratulations to Lorraine, Sam, Kim, Christine, Ken, Katie and Kiara for putting on tremendous performances.

OPT Travel Club ready for Ottawa

Options, Pathways & Transitions Inc.'s Travel Club has been saving for this year's trip. The group is set to leave for Ottawa Monday June 3 , returning Friday June 7, 2013.

OPT Participants excel in Music programming

Participants at Options, Pathways & Transitions continue to work on musical skills through the Music program at OPT. Members gain experience with musical instruments, practise beat recognition and prepare for singing contests like CV Idol. Music instructor Susie Conrad has developed a thorough program for OPT.  The OPT crew is ready for the CV Idol finale which takes place Friday May 24.

OPT features a supply of musical instruments and technical equipment to offer the best musical experience possible.
