It’s that time of year and June 20 marks the beginning of Summer Programming at Options, Pathways and Transitions. Day program participants and staff look forward to many activities to enjoy what our province has to offer.

June 24 the group goes to the cottage at Winnipeg Beach for a day trip and BBQ. Please remember, there is no hot lunch on Fridays during the summer after June 24. Please bring a lunch Monday to Friday during the summer. Also, we will not have access to microwaves on excursion days. So no heat up lunches, please.

Work Experince Hours: May 2016

Options, Pathways and Transitions’ Day Program participants continue their hard work in our community. The majority of the members do some form of work experience in the Winnipeg area.

Options, Pathways and Transitions offers day program participants the chance to gain experience working in the community. Dominic works at Safeway once a week. He greets shoppers, bags groceries and returns shopping baskets.

Dominic has a great relationship with his coworkers who are always happy to show him another part of the job.

Electronics Recycling

Options, Pathways and Transitions Inc. believes in helping the community. Day program participants now recycle old electronics. The group can pick up end-of-life, small to medium electronics and deliver the items to the correct depot. We offer this for a nominal donation.

OPT Work Experience Hours: January/'16

Options, Pathways and Transitions participants have been hard at work in volunteer work experience positions. In January of 2016 OPT day program participants totaled 174.5 hours of work in our community.

Currently, over 70% of OPT participants do some form of work experience or have paid employment.
